Circular walk Weggis - Hertenstein

Starting from the boat station in Weggis, walk along the lake towards Hertenstein, passing the All Saints Chapel in Unterdorf. Turn right after the restaurant HYG and follow the signs to Hotel Friedheim. After passing this hotel you will arrive at Hügerihof Farm. Now walk along Brünnistrasse to “Hotel & Gastro Formation”. The trail leads past the barn and climbs slowly towards Herrenwald. As soon as we reach the barbecue area by the forest, we turn left into the forest and follow the path in a large curve to the right. The forest path leads almost level slightly above the lakeshore to the Helsana Trail junction. We follow the signpost, go up to the right and leave the forest after a few metres. After a short climb we reach the Gerbiweid campsite, pass the greenhouses and the football pitch. At Thermoplan AG, we take the first turn to the right and pass the Hügeri farm again. This time we take the field path straight ahead at the crossroads, walk through the residential area and along Höchistrasse until we reach a small path on the right that leads along a stream to the lake. Here we turn left and walk along the shore back to the Weggis boat station.

In the Unterdorf, the All Saints Chapel with its frescoes is worth a visit.
