The Wissifluh may be less than 1,000 meters above sea level, but the view is breathtaking. This wild and romantic place can be reached by a special aerial cable car, which is also of cable car importance.

The aerial cable car only runs on request. If you would like to take a ride, simply call the restaurant at the mountain station.

The aerial cable car runs from Vitznau to the Wissifluh without a single support. Over a length of just under one kilometer, it climbs 448 meters in altitude. It is the first installation in Switzerland to combine a reversible aerial tramway and a cable car.

Once at the top, the Berghotel Wissifluh awaits visitors with a cozy restaurant. From here, there is an impressive view over Lake Lucerne and the Bürgenstock peninsula.

The special atmosphere of the Wissifluh is inspiring - so much so that it was used as a filming location for the TV series “Tatort” in 2012.
