History
The church of St Markus in Vitznau is the first protestant church in the Lucerne countryside. Tourism brought an increasing number of protestant guests to the predominantly catholic region. This increased the need for protestant services and the desire for a church of their own. It was built in 1904 in the English style.
Weddings
The church offers space for 150 guests. If you are a member of the protestant parish of Lucerne, use of the church is free of charge. Otherwise, use of the church costs CHF 700, which includes a sexton service of a maximum of 2.5 hours (including preparation and tidying up). For details, please contact the secretariat of the Protestant Church Rigi South Side.Good to know
