Church
The parish church, consecrated in 1841, characterises the townscape of Vitznau. It is a late representative of the baroque classicism of Lucerne's country churches.
The exterior of the church features three larger-than-life stone statues, which stand in three round arch niches above the three round arch arcades: Christ with the globe in the centre, flanked by the apostle Andrew as the patron saint of fishermen and St Jerome as the patron saint of the church. The interior is characterised by a large ceiling painting and the paintings on the high altar and the two side altars.

Marriages

The church can accommodate 200 people. If you live in one of the local parishes, you can use the church free of charge. If you do not live in one of the local parishes, you pay a flat rate of CHF 500 towards the maintenance costs of the church. Please contact the parish secretariat for all details about the wedding ceremony.
