Situated in Lucerne's Old Town, yet away from the busy shopping mile, the Christmas market spreads a unique contemplative atmosphere. In the centre of the Christmas market, as its trademark, so to speak, the largest Advent wreath in central Switzerland shines on the Franziskaner fountain, more than three metres in diameter, decorated with hundreds of lights and baubles as well as four-metre-high candles.
