In eleven movements with magnificent arias, recitatives and choruses, the Choeur de Chambre de Namur and Les Talens Lyriques set the mood for Easter.
Originally composed as a secular work, Bach replaced some parts of his "Easter Oratorio" with sacred text over the course of 21 years. From mourning and lamentation to joyful celebration, the work encompasses the message of hope for every time and place.
